Sustainable Communities in 厄瓜多尔2024年夏天: The proposed course is designed to provide students with a unique one-to-one interaction with Spanish native speakers in three different sites: the 厄瓜多尔ian Amazon Rainforest Reservation of Papallacta, the Indigenous Reservation of Cotacachi, and the Runatupari Indigenous 社区 in the Andean Region of 厄瓜多尔. 学生 will explore and document the work some indigenous groups have been doing since the new constitution was approved back in 2008 and will work hand in hand when possible with women community leaders at the different sites. Vienna Experience: Culture History, Language2024年夏天: A four-week advanced 语言 and culture program for students to expand their German-语言 skills by exploring Austrian culture, 历史, and politics in one of Europe's most diverse cities.

This Program offers a once-in-a-lifetime experience for dance majors to expand their historical, cultural and performance-based knowledge through exposure to the rich tradition of dance in the French capital.
翻译戏剧 Workshop, Paris, France, NOT RUNNING FOR SUMMER 2024: In this four-week program, students will immerse themselves in French culture by attending theater performances and navigating daily life as a Parisian, all while working collaboratively on translating French plays into English with Barnard faculty member 劳里Postlewate,最重要的实践者. Functioning in tandem with the 翻译戏剧 Workshop, the course will practice the acting ideas acquired through the performance of new translations of French plays. Both classes will attend performances of the plays selected to understand further how the body, 语言, and ensemble work operates to create meaning on stage.
